About Us

Bass Rattlers was founded in 1986 by Dell Hatfield and Eddie Grabenhorst. The original members were Dell Hatfield, Eddie Grabenhorst, Leroy Wise, Jimmy Wise, Pat Wheeled and Eddie Thomas and they all worked at Wiginton Fire Sprinklers. They fished 6 tournaments a year out of john boats using buckets with aerators to keep their fish. The home waters were the Palm Beach canal systems. Their away tournament was to Belle Glade to Fish Lake Okeechobee. The cost for each tournament was $1.00 per angler, the winner got $5.00 and big fish paid $1.00!
